An American in Kazakhstan
Went in for a consultation, was recommended a sleep study. Seemed good except for a really long time waiting to see the nurse practitioner. They tell me we’re waiting on insurance. One week goes by, then another. I have called continuously over two weeks, left message after message, am practically begging them to call me back. I’ve talked with my insurance and they’ve given me a way to move forward but I need Dallas Sleep to resubmit the request correctly. Texted the number they texted me from, again begging for a response. No response. I don’t understand why. I’m disappointed because i paid the initial consultation fee and now I’m going to have to go to another doctor and pay for another consultation. It is so odd to be ghosted by a doctor like this. The frustrating thing is that i continually get canned messages asking me to call them and schedule my next appointment! I’m trying!!!!!!! If this is Dallas Sleep, i am a real patient and my initials are SL (I don’t use my real name online). Please contact me!!! Edit: They immediately called me the morning after I posted this, and I'm going in today to get my home study equipment. I'm happy about that, but I'm going to pause on updating the rating until after the study and see if it continues to be frustrating to work with them. I don't think it's great for a doctor's office to have to get a bad review to finally respond to its patients. It's possible they didn't see the review and finally responded to my fifth message.

Just call, and do not press a button for any options. You should get patched through to the front desk by default. I know this because I did it last week.
Our mobile website is down temporarily because we had to migrate it to a new hosting site. That should be resolved soon. We do stay very busy with lots of phone calls, but rather than outsource our phone answering to other countries like India or the Phillipines, we provide jobs to American workers. On the other hand, that limits how many people we can afford to hire, so we are relying more heavily on email as a preferred form of communication (except for the elderly, disabled, or those unable to use email). Hi Jean, you’ll want to bring a set of pajamas, ideally a top and a bottom. You can bring your toothbrush and toiletries too. Also, be sure to bring any medications you normally take at night or may need. Finally, if you like, you can bring your own pillow. Have a good night!
