Owner turned us away at night in the middle of a storm saying there was no available spots. Though we had driven through before stopping at the office and there were clearly spots open. Not cool.

We made reservations with this place over the phone. I gave her the year and size of our trailer, everything was fine. We arrive at the "campground" and go into the "office", it was a messy kitchen, to sign in. We were rudely told that she needed to inspect our trailer, she told us to pull up farther, we did. She looks out her window and states that we don't pass inspection and we can't stay there! I was furious, my wife was stunned speachless. Upon leaving this place we saw it was a gravel lot in her backyard. With no privatization effort put in place.

On our Colorado/New Mexico road trip we ended up in Ft. Garland at the end of the day. This nifty little RV park was our rescue and it turned out to be a wonderful stop. The laundry room and facilities was immaculate and proved to be a pleasant surprise to our weary, and slightly dirty, crew.

Owners are very friendly and easygoing. Bathroom and laundry are pretty decent. Lot is far enough from the highway that you don't have traffic noise, and is enclosed by trees. If you want a whole lot of nature, a private campground is not for you--go public. But for what it is, this is a perfectly nice place. There's a park within walking distance.
