I did not go through The Magdalen House, or Maggie's as we quickly learn to call it, but I definitely got here as fast as I could!! I left treatment June 25th and started volunteering at Maggie's on July 12, 2019. Doing service work in the program is very important, but also getting out of self was extremely helpful for me, especially in the beginning, and by showing up and volunteering and seeing the smiling faces of the staff and the girls in the house everyday, it was the best way to get out of my head and be grateful for my program. The ladies in the office are absolutely amazing and the whole administrative staff is incredible. The best part of being a part of Maggie's is seeing these girls come in the house on Day 1, with the willingness and desperation to stop, and having the opportunity to see their growth and transformation in the 2 weeks they are here. Thank you for everything you have given me!!!! My journey would not be same without Maggie's!!

There truly are no words to describe Maggie’s. I was desperate. I felt hopeless. I didn’t want to live. I tried everything to stop drinking. I have been to 30 day in patient rehabilitation programs, IOP’s, AA meetings, church,…etc. January 12, 2021, I flew to Dallas from Houston. I walked through the doors of Maggie’s, for what I thought would be 2 weeks of another failed attempt. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Instead, I was greeted with loving and open arms of women who showered me with love. Women who knew of my pain. I stayed in Dallas for 18 months. I stuck close to Maggie’s. I found God. I owe my life to Maggie’s. Maggie’s is magical. God truly lives there. Today, I can look at myself in the mirror. I just moved back home to be with my children and family again. I am happy, joyous and free. I owe everything to The Magdalen House. Thank you to the entire staff, my sponsor and every woman that has walked through those doors and held me during my journey to freedom. I love each and every one of you with all my heart❤️!

I would not be alive today without The Magdalen House. I was drinking myself to death (literally) and could not stop drinking and did not know why. The Magdalen House showed me how to really live and enjoy my life without alcohol. The all women staff and atmosphere of love, understanding and compassion was the catalyst for my recovery. Thank you Maggie's for giving me my life back!

Turtle Creek Recovery is co-ed
Call when they open tomorrow. You will have a phone screen and then you should be able to get right in. 🤗
Thank you Connie. We are grateful to be able to help. Being a part of this vibrant recovery commuity for women is a blessing!
Not necessarily. They are only able to treat alcohol withdrawals but so long as you are not withdrawing from anything else, you can go for alcohol as well as other addictions- you just must also have a dependence on alcohol.
Hi Mary! If you are looking for a treatment option, please have her call between the hours of 9am and 5pm for a quick screening to see if she qualifies for the services. If you are looking for support for yourself, you are encouraged to come check out the family support meetings on Wednesdays at 6:30pm
Hi Randy, We are not a residential program, so we don't have rent. The women in our Social Detox Program stay for 14 days, cannot bring children with them but children are allowed to visit daily, and all of our programming is no cost to the women and families we serve. Hope this helps! Thanks!
Hi Ronald, We are a women-only facility that offers a 14-day Social Detox Program for women suffering from alcoholism. We are not a residential facility and all of our programming is no cost to the women and families we serve. Thank you!
