Do they need volunteers?

We have a large Thanksgiving Day event and had posted open volunteer positions since October. Although many of the spots are full, you can check availability at https://www.ourcalling.org/thanksgiving/

Yes, we can always use clothes donations. We distribute about 1,400 items each week. Please bring clean clothes and blankets to our facility between 8AM-3PM Mon-Fri, or 8AM-10AM on Saturday.

The 35 runs to Hickory and South Harwood The 12 runs to Hickory and Good Latimer Both are about a block away (maybe a little more).

There are 5 large shelters in Dallas. You may want to start with The Bridge. It is located at 1818 Corsicana. If you have a smartphone, download the OurCalling app (from your App Store) and you can see all of the shelters in the area.

Mary, I’m so sorry about your father-in-law. OurCalling doesn’t do vouchers, but there may be other options. Call 214-444-8796 during their normal hours and ask to speak to Andrew.

I'm not sure however if you were to call this facility in Dallas the staff would be more than happy to try to help you find out...also if not I believe they are starting to build other ones across the united States and maybe you could open that door. They staff is extremely friendly and want to be there is not just a social service job it's their calling

Yes as far as i know there still doing laundry but its only on certain days. You must put your name on a waiting list and also be there at about 6:30am to be eligible for services. You can also get clothing there but you might be able to work something out if you really need you clothing washed. Have a blessed day and remember God loves you and there is nothing you can do about it.

To My knowledge, i assume they Don't have a food pantry but it's Best to call to see if they have one Or Not (call FIRST).

You don't stay there it's not a shelter but they do help you a lot. You should start showing up around 7:30 because they do give people showers and laundry but only I think 30 people. They serve lunch at 12pm and then shortly after people start leaving

i have slept,more than once at ourcalling at nite when it was freezing outside..have not been back new security called for backup to threaten to remove elderly white man on cane who was too in picking up backpack after being told to leave ramp leading to locked door where we've been lining up at since this place first opened...later saw the man crying out front ,hungry and too proud to go in for lunch...maybe should be called ourfalling..?
