This trail has a little more aggressive incline but we felt the scenery was also top notch with a winding creek at your side for most of the beginning trail. This trail is worth the hike.

Great hike, not too steep. Wish they marked it a little better. Mile markers would be nice. Beautiful hike and we saw a buck in velvet!

Yes, it is an out-and-out back hike. If you hike as far as the Gore Range trail intersection (about 3.25 miles from the TH) you can access longer options that don't return to the N Ten Mile TH, but either direction on the Gore Range Trail would necessitate a much longer hike to end up at a different TH or make a loop.
