All our 3 dogs are under the Banfield premium plan . I brought my dog there last September 26, 2022 for a small lesion near his rectum. We were concerned it might be cancerous. We paid $345 for labs only for cytology and thyroid profile and was told that it will be Friday 30th that we will get the result. We called that Friday and was told results are not in yet. Monday morning October 3, we called and said results not in yet . That same afternoon at 553pm, the doctor left a message for us to call back . We hurriedly called back and the receptionist placed us on hold. It was for 30 minutes until their system disconnected us . We called back and now prompting us that the office is now closed. We called back hoping to get a hold of somebody but we ended up leaving a voicemail. We were very anxious to know if the results are malignant or not! Tuesday October 4, nobody cared to call us back . October 5, Wednesday we called but was told that the doctor was off and we instructed the receptionist to have the doctor call us ASAP. Finally Thursday October 6, the practice manager Kanika called my cell phone and when I asked if this is about our dog’s lab results , she was rude to tell me that she cannot share information about my dog because our pet is only under my husband’s name . I told her I am one of the contact person the entire time we are with Banfield with our 3 dogs and I get called all the time and it’s even my own credit card under my name paying for their plan. She started talking about HIPAA violation and I told her that I am an RN and I know what HIPAA is. She still denied about sharing any information with me and asked me to call my husband to give her his permission. This manager was rude and lied that she did not get any note from their receptionist when we talked to her Wednesday. No apologies or no customer service to even look at the bigger picture . After their negligence about the lab results , this manager who even stated that she just had her training was even adding insult to injury ! This is our worse experience ever. Now I am rethinking about pulling my 3 dogs out because of this negligence and rudeness! Seeing other peoples negative comments here makes us very uncomfortable?!

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
