This is the cleanest shelter I have ever stepped foot into. The staff is amazing. The animals seem to be well taken care of. I highly recommend them.

Went to this place with the intention of leaving with a dog. We had walked through and saw a dog that caught our eye. Everything went great up until we had asked to see the dog we liked. The blond receptionist was extremely rude. We had explained we have another dog at home and she looked at us like we were dumb while, trying to explain concerns we might have just because we are young. She then proceeded to ask us “how old even are you guys” with an attitude. Us both being 21 we are grown there’s no reason to treat us any differently. We really wanted to see if we could bond with the dog we liked but, she never gave us a chance to see him. Terrible experience overall.

Saved a cat from getting hit by a car on 66 near the rockwall square, took the cat to shelter and they said since we live in fate they won’t take him and to just “dump him back where we found him since he looks like an outdoor cat”. These people clearly don’t care.

I agree with Ms. Smith. The well being of the dog is of paramount importance. Call the shelter and find out the protocol.

When my cat dies, will you come pick it up or do I have to bring it to you?

You don't take it to an adoption center, you take it to the vet or have it cremated.

Can I bring my 2 German Shepards to you. I need to find a good forever home for them. When I bought them I had no idea my wife and I would ever have the trouble (medically) we have had. They are 18 months old and we love them so much but can't keep

This is not the place to ask this kind of question. The adoption center itself may never read this. Use the Message button or call them. I think they will take your dogs, but I would personally find a home for them that I trust myself rather than trust a third party. There's nothing wrong with our adoption center, they do a great job, but they cannot guarantee the dogs will stay together for instance.

Is rhere a place to bring animals if ya find one

Yes, you can go up to the front desk. It's always best to post a lost animal on the neighborhood page, could be someone's pet.

do you do clear the shelters on the 18?

I recommend you call the shelter to ask this question. I have some doubts that they read this venue.

I would love to have hamlet.Don't have the money to adopt..

That's sad adoption requires a fee. One to spay or nurture and also assure new owners can afford for the care of the dog. Health care is essential if you cannot afford adoption fee it is highly unlikely you can afford vet fees. I suggest you wait on getting your 'soul pet' until you can afford the care and well being of the fur baby. Owning a dog is not just feeding and loving it. It can be EXTREMELY expensive

How do you sponsor a dog by donating their adoption fee???

Lynne Lueb | Oct 19, 2018
Jno Wadle | Oct 19, 2018

I'm not sure I understand your question regarding a dogs' adoption fee. When we find a stray and take to the center we contribute to the center. The adoption fee is and should be paid by the prospective owner. A first sign of their committment and more funding for the center.
