A family member took our family dog for a check up today, on a hot spot she developed . Our dog has always been good at the vet and loves her original doctor which is great, but we had to get her in quickly to treat this hot spot before it got worse, so we got a new doctor. After the visit, my family member sent me a message talking about her experience, and quite honestly, I am beyond shocked with the experience my family member had to deal with today. The new doctor judged my family member on the antiseptic shampoo we were using for our dog and it made my family member uncomfortable. She also stated that our dogs mouth was “weird” which I believe is uncommon verbiage to use. We understand why she said it, due to the fact our dog does need a teeth cleaning (and was already previously discussed with our dogs original doctor) but the way it was said did make my family member feel uncomfortable. We are a family of full time college students, with parents who work endlessly, yet we still try to make sure our dog always comes first and our family dog is otherwise super healthy. We love this clinic, and although she technically did her job well, her overall somewhat condescending demeanor and the way she was interacting with my family member made her experience uncomfortable.

The first visit is full service, not a consultation. So worth every penny. Abrams Forest provides outstanding care.
They are wonderful and very respectful and gentle. I have had several pets that have had to be put to sleep there
