What is your definition of shade tolerant? Every rose is going to need sun in order to bloom well. Some roses do require less sun than others. In the area you want a rose, how much sun will it get and at what time of day?

Hi Barbara, Are they planted where they get a lot of sunshine....they need that and they don't like to be overly wet. Yes, they do need to be fertilized periodically. You can use our Covington's Flower & Garden Fertilizer or any slow-release flower fertilizer. I don't know what the white on ends of leaves is without looking. Bring a cutting or a good clear picture up the the nursery and let us look at it so we can identify the issue for you.

You can plant squash throughout the month of August for fall harvest. The spring season crop can be planted in late March to mid-April.

Carolina Jasmine or Trumpet vines. They dont need a lot of maintenance and they do well in the winter once they're established.
