Me and my brother wanted to get our 89 yr old dad a new cab tractor and mower because he still loves getting out to the fields and mowing. He had also mentioned he really wanted to try a grappler on all the brush and fallen tree limbs since he has to use a cane to get around ( he doesnt like sitting still). I ordered everything in April and we got the tractor, batwing mower and bale spike at the end of May and was told the grappler would be ready July 15. Dad was elated. He couldnt wait to clear out the dead branches under some trees and start a brush pile to burn this fall. I cleared my schedule for the week after July 15 to pick up the grappler and work on the farm the following week. On July 14 I called to schedule a pick up time and was told the grappler was pushed back to the end of September. Wish I had a heads up that it was moved back, could have saved us time off work, money traveling to the farm. Most disheartening part was seeing my dad’s disappointment when I had to tell him it was moved back 2 months. Management got wind of my situation and contacted me. Although my Frontier Gapple order was pushed back they offered an alternate grapple that just came available in their stock. This type of customer service will get me coming back in the future.

Worst experience having a Stihl chainsaw worked on. I’ve been running Stihl chainsaws for almost thirty years, have been to several dealerships in three different states, and had never been treated so poorly. I brought my 046 to Bart (I need to add there’s nothing bad to say about this man. Polite, friendly, and courteous). That’s the only positive thing I can say about my experience. A week later he called and said it was ready. $195 dollars later. No problem. I had some issues getting it started at the dealership and Bart said if it gives me any problems to call him. Tried it out the next day and couldn’t get it to start and when it finally did, it wouldn’t stay running. Called Bart and he said to bring it in. The next day I did. I stood at the service window for at least five minutes while a man sitting not five feet away from me played in his phone. Several people walked into the service office, made eye contact, and went about their business. When the guy on his phone finally saw me, he didn’t say anything but pointed to the door to the service bays. He met me there and pointed to another guy and said “he’ll take care of you”. Completely rude and unprofessional. The man he pointed to was Michael. I explained to him what Bart had said and his reply was “yea, there’s nothing we can do with that saw. It wouldn’t be worth fixing”. I tried to further explain what the saw was doing, when he cut me off and said again “there’s really nothing we can do”. He went on to say that maybe they could look at it and they could see what they could do on what it would cost. He was by far the rudest, most unprofessional mechanic I have ever encountered; Stihl, John Deere, any of them. I said “ I’ll just take it somewhere else”. He replied with a should shrug “alright”. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was terrible. I took my Stihl to Roquemore’s in Whitehouse, where I recommend anyone else looking for a knowledgeable, professional experience. I will never utilize this business for anything. *Update. Bart refunded me the amount I spent on the saw. As I stated earlier, he was the only professional and courteous individual I encountered.

Needed some help with wiring a replacement switch for my JD LX277. Parts dept referred me to service. After not finding any help in the electrical diagram for the mower, Bart Armstrong located a similar mower in the shop and used his cell phone to take photos of how the wiring was connected, and sent them to my cell. Outstanding service! Not many places where you feel good about spending money, but Tyler United Ag & Turf is one.
