Packed full of pieces of history. We saw arrowheads, boxes and bottles from an old store and pharmacy, train model, photographs, a preserved double-headed cow, tools, clothes, scrapbooks, etc. It's a treasure trove, but would benefit from more explanatory signage guiding one through the broader timeline of this region. That would help put it all in context for those, like us, who don't know anything about the area and are on a self-guided wander.

Yes as he said $3 fee per person. Also a lot of the park areas charge a $5 per car day pass.
Hi Sue...we are not. However, January through March we are on our winter schedule which is Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 to 5.
Hi Lois, Thank you for your inquiry. According to Polk's City Directory, the Manistee-Benzie County District Health Department where your father worked was located at 317-375 River Street on the second floor of the Manistee County Savings Bank building. Looks like it was on the second floor in rooms 205-209 through the early 1950s.
