We actually went when it was rainy and the waves were bad so we looked at everything from the beach, a safe distance away. So beautiful even in bad weather.

Stopped by on a road trip and the only time I could go was 10pm. I expected to be a bit disappointed, but the view of the stars from here was phenomenal! The lighthouse was cool too, but the soft sand, warm water and amazing view of the stars was one of the unexpected highlights of my trip.

It's still early for salmon around the pier heads but there may be a few early in the morning or later evening. Yes you can fish from the piers.
This is the time of year they start their migration. There are fish in the river now although numbers may not be really high yet. All the rain from the last few days will start them moving quickly now.
When it's open you are allowed to walk through the lighthouse and gift shop in the first level and they have various articles of history on the lighthouse on the main floor but you can pay a small fee in order to go to the second floor where they have the bedroom they would sleep in and more artifacts and articles about it and you can also take a ladder to the top where the light used to be to get a 360 degree view of everything from up there
