It was great camping for 4days last day we had a visitor. 700 pounds 🐻 bear if you keep your distance you're fine. Be camping for 25 years never had a problem with them .we're in their home.so we respect them.

The best campground in King's Canyon. We just love it here .

Peaceful. (Except when the bears come through, then a bit noisy). Saw bears 5 times in 3 nights. Remember to keep everything priperly stored. And have a high powered flashlight to use when bears do come through. Easy access to the general store for small things. Clean campground and RR's were clean too.

Never fished but I know you might need a permit. I see other people doing it.
No. There is no lake nearby
Kings canyon is temporarily closed. So is Sequoia national park campsites. However Sequoia National Forest campsite are open
Great campground! Most sites have some amount of shade but I remember seeing that 20, 21, 19, 18 had a lot of shade the sites in the low 50s and 40s were also shady based on my experience in 2018.
At Sentinel campground yes you need a reservation during the summer. However, Moraine campground is next too it and is first come first serve. Sheep Creek campground is also first come first serve, but as of 6/26/19 wasnt open yet.
22 a night. Morraine campground next door was first come, first serve but is usually packed. In Kings Canyon you can set up a tent almost anywhere as long as it doesn't state no camping. You will only be missing out in bathrooms and a bear my get into your food.
I do believe this time of year reservations are recommended by the park staff
Right now, the road to this campground is closed because of the winter snow and won't be reopened until spring. The weather when the campground is open is usually very nice. Cool during the spring, warm during the summer, and cool again in the fall. It can rain and snow there so you want to check to see if there may be a storm rolling through before you head out, but in my experience it has always been great, regardless of the weather.
Yes keep driving down that road and you pass camp grounds you can camp in, some are walk up only and some are reserve online only. Road ends about 30 miles past Cedar Grove
No
You would either have had a confirmation email with a direct link or just log into your account from when you first made your reservation.
And on leash only, even though a lot of dog owners don't follow that rule.
If you have a multi-day reservation, they'll give your site to someone else if you don't show up by 12pm the next day.
It's first come first serve. Drive through to find a spot without a yellow tag on the post. Park in that spot. Then walk back to the entrance to register.
Absolutely not... That is what makes it so great !!!
