This program is great for full-time employees looking to pursue a phlebotomy license in a prompt manner. Kathy, the office manager, is super helpful and had no problem assisting me with any questions or help I needed with submitting documents throughout the process. My instructor, Margo, was outstanding and ensured I had a thorough understanding of everything phlebotomy related. The program moves at an accelerated pace which I absolutely loved. I was able to pass my midterm with a 99%, my final with a 97%, and my national exam with a 92% just by studying the materials they provided me in class. I’m so thankful I chose to attend this school because it moved much faster and was less costly than the other phlebotomy programs available in Las Vegas.

Phlebotomy Learning Center of Las Vegas is the great place, where you can learn all techniques, all strategies of blood drawing with very detailed explanation of every step. Always there is a feeling, that you are in right hands! Everyone was so supportive. Classes not overcrowded, amazing experience. Thank You for everything 🙏🙌

The course was phenomenal, instructors patient and knowledgeable, and the school is exactly as promised. In addition, my externship experience was unforgettable! Overall, PLC delivered an education, practical experience, and working knowledge as expected!

Overall Rate: 2.5/5 Cost in 2021: $1995.00 (plus vaccinations, scrubs, drug test, physical, insurance) not bad! Avg. Las Vegas Phlebotomist pay: $15-22/hr Duration of program: 9 months, Class once a week for 10 weeks, after that there's a wait for externship. They advertise 10 weeks of class but it took much longer. I was told multiple times by their office manager Kathy that they were backed up with externships due to COVID and staffing issues. Background: I am 21 year old college student, not married, no kids, going into medical field, I came into this program with prior knowledge which helped me succeed. I was aware this was not the best program (as most privately owned programs), I did what I had to do and dipped. I cannot imagine completing this program as I did with a full time job, kids, without prior medical knowledge, or other responsibilities but it is 100% possible! If you have a little more time or higher budget, I'd recommend the CSN Phlebotomy program over this one. (covered with FAFSA) Instructor 2/5 : I will not be mentioning their name. I will say they did their best to prepare us for the midterm and final with the few teaching skills they had. They skimmed through the chapters every week with the class and very often mispronounced words in the book. Unless you have prior Medical Terminology/Anatomy knowledge, you will need to put in LOTS of study time at home to keep up. Each week they wanted us to quickly get through the book and get our draws in so they could leave early. Most times we left before 9p.m (although you are paying for 5pm to 10pm instruction) Keep in mind you attend class a total of 10 TIMES, so class time is crucial. You will need to do most of the work at home, come prepared with questions if you want to learn in class. I cannot speak on the other instructors. Communication 3/5: Often times will not answer your emails if you are asking questions Program Director is never at the school, you have to email her and oftentimes does not answer or sends office manager to answer. This person is the owner of the program, I would imagine if you brought up complaints of the program itself they will not be take seriously. Professionalism 2/5: This is not like a formal college class. There's a written curriculum broken down week by week that is not followed. I mentioned the issues with instructor when it came to instruction time. As for lab time (done in same room), my instructor would often be on their phone, not wearing gloves and touching clean sites. I felt very unsure of my technique in the beginning weeks because proper demonstration was not done. I had a friend with a different instructor tell me their Midterm was pushed back because all of the students complained their instructor did not do a review session (written in curriculum). Class started with around 20 people, about half (maybe more) tested out after Midterm. In my class, most people who tested out were 30-60 yr olds with day jobs wanting careers changes. Most people who stayed worked in the medical field or were health science college students. If you do payment plans, You pay BEFORE taking Midterm and Final. Externship: 5/5 Amazing!! It is what you make of it truly, I made lots of great connections, got letters of recommendation, job opportunity opened at site of externship. Communication with program was best at this point because the program wanted me to finish ASAP to get someone else in after me. Overall, if you can put in the work on your end go for it!! I hope this helped anyone with interest in this program!

A lot of people I run into that have went to school here and found a job after. As for a hospital they can be a little picky, but most hospitals want experience and some just don't.
