They make it difficult to practice nursing in the State of Nevada. We all take the same NCLEX, it shouldn't be so much work to obtain another states license. I have had my RN license in 4 different states, and Nevada is my least favorite to obtain and renew. Their website needs so much work, and the entire process needs an overhaul. You would think you'd want to make it easy and attractive for nurses to come work in your state, not extremely difficult. Don't get me wrong, pretty much all state boards of nursing are this way; its a systemic problem. But Nevada is particularly bad. If your a nurse and are considering work in Nevada, consider elsewhere, because dealing with the Nevada State Board of Nursing makes whatever that hospital is paying you NOT worth it.

To allow committee members to blatantly lie and put public safety at risk is appalling. Shame on the Nevada BON

Their nurses spew dangerous pseudo science and encourage children to take horse de wormers for made up ailments. This is unreal

If you are iv certified you should have gone through that in the 40 hour class. Maybe a refresher or look up the very clear codes on this.
Call the State Board of Nursing in the state that you are working in and they will have the answer for you but as long as that you had been working as a CNA what's in the fiscal year I don't see why you should not be able to stay licensed
Contact the Nevada State Nursing Board in Reno, NV.
