We were looking forward to staying here as we passed through. Nice location on the lake. Older building and you hear everything between the walls. Unfortunately when we arrived there was nobody to check us in as the person running the counter was also running the bar/food. I felt bad for her as she was hustling the best she could but she said “sorry, I have no backup”. Once we did get checked in we went to the bar area to get a drink and food after long drive. Nobody was there to serve us and after waiting we decided to get back in the car and go find a place to eat. Found “Hog Wild Barbecue & Smokehouse” and that was very good… definitely seem to have a staff issue.

Hi! I'm Dale's wife, Julie Burau, and I stayed at the St.Croix Inn for a couple nights some time during this past year with a couple of friends for a 'girls outing'! I have NOTHING BUT GOOD things to say about my stay at the St.Croix Inn and I honestly can't wait to go back. (We actually had reservations to return but I became ill with Covid so we had to cancel at that time and 'were very disappointed!) It was such a nicely run hotel --- beautiful view of the lake, comfortable, clean -with such a friendly down-home atmosphere! The bar was very welcoming and you could have drinks for inside at the tables by the bar or go outside on the deck to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake! VERY RELAXING! We had fresh in-house homemade pizza that was delicious -- and other side orders were available at the bar as well. The breakfast in the morning was well done -- and arranged by the hotel staff who worked diligently to make sure everything was very nice! Coffee's were available -- "help yourself" to the guests! I would highly recommend the St.Croix Inn for anybody looking for a quiet enjoyable relaxing stay! It was such a nice get-a-way! Or please keep it in mind for your wedding venue as there was a wedding going on there at the time we were there and everything was so well done and the set up was beautiful! The staff was top-notch-- down-home NICE people! We plan to make a visit there soon so my husband can see for himself what a nice stay it is there. It was truly enjoyable and I can't wait to return .. In fact, we are making arrangements to visit there soon! 5 star rating for sure! (Julie Burau)

Shelby Rossow

We stayed here to ride the ATV trails. It has direct trail access it was perfect! We rented a canoe for free, enjoyed the hot tub (was sandy), and pool! Room was nice, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was awesome! Had a great selection. All the staff was super nice! I will be back.
