We park at Cty Rd P. Just shoulder parking. Trailes goes north with at least .5 m walk. We didn't go further. Turned around, cross the road south and went to the St.Croix creek and follow another .6 mikes to the lake. Boardwalk was on and off. Anazing place, lot history.

Very nice! Walking on the boards makes a really lovely sound. All of the moss made me feel like I was in a huge wild Zen garden in Japan. The entrance can be easy to miss, so slow down on the road when approaching. There is no parking lot, but there is a little room on the side of road for a car. The Google map was quite accurate about the location.

Beautiful hike! The boardwalks and trails were well used and maintained. The snow covered trees were pretty!

The Brule Bog Boardwalk is a fairly hidden gem in the Brule River State Forest area. This boardwalk is part of the Brule Glacial Spillway State Natural Area as well as part of the North Country Trail. It took us a while to find the two entrances on either side of P, as they are small openings in the forest. Once you are on the boardwalks, you step into an enchanted bog forest. The ground is covered with verdant moss, and the trees take on an ethereal quality. If it is raining or has rained recently, be sure to wear the type of footwear you would wear on a boat, as the planks of the boardwalk become quite slippery. If you follow the northwesterly route from P, you will eventually find a gorgeous little hillside stream and begin walking up into higher ground. That is where we turned around. That total hike is about 1 mile there and back.
