This has become our family's favorite zoo in Minnesota! We have a 2yr old and she had a blast seeing and interacting with the animals. We will be back many more times to see the continued additions and positive changes made throughout We did miss out on alligator and duck feeding as we didn't carry change. Bring quarters $.50 (literal) hand full of alligator food $.50 hand full of duck food Strongly recommend: Giraffe feeding: $5 (per cup of carrots) Small animal feeding: $3 or $5 (per feed cup size) Train: $5 per person (15-20 mins ride with a pre-recorded commentary) Carnival rides: $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20 (staff was very nice and helpful).

This is by far the best zoo my family has visited. The best things was the close interaction you can have with the giraffes, colorful birds, barn animals, tortoises and the deer. They have so many different animals that I haven't seen in any other zoos as well. Cheetahs, panther, hyenas, grizzly bear, sloth bear, and a ton of different monkeys and birds. The train safari ride was unique as well. Our kids loved this zoo. There was a nice place to grab food and sit and eat. There was a playground for the kids too for a lunchtime break. Highly recommend and we'll go back again for sure.

Def worth the 1.5 hr drive! Such a fun wildlife park. Definitely feed the girafe, $5.00 for a cup of carrots but worth it. Also would recommend the bird enclosure next to the kangaroos.. $5.00 for 2 sticks with seed on them and the birds jump right on and eat. We didn't take a ride on the camel this time. We will definitely do this trip again this summer. Thank you Safari North for having a wonderful variety of animals!!

One of my favorites things to do when I travel is visit zoos and wildlife parks. This one was one of my all time favorite places to visit! The best part? Feeding the giraffes. There is a fee for this but man was it worth the experience. The worst part? We did walk a lot and this may be too much for some people who can’t be on there feet too long. There is also a farm area where you can feed more animals. I loved the layout and I hope to go back.

Honestly, everything. Their are so many extra options that you should absolutely take advantage of... Such as feeding giraffes, riding camels, and parakeet landing. Bring about an extra $25 inside if possible. It's fantastic
if there is an opportunity you may be able to but it’s not likely the owner who takes care of most of the animals does not really let you “play with them”
It sure is! They have a lot of respect for all of the animals they have there.
Info says 9-6 everyday
I would call them and they will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Yet to visit there.
Cost to get in is the same. The rides are $5 per ride or $15 for an unlimited ride wristband. The train ride is $5 or $4 for season pass holders, same as the giraffe feeding and camel rides.
You cannot drive through it. I think it is definitely worth going there. 1 of the better zoo/safaris I have been too!!
I would go to the zoo as well!
The petting zoo I think changes every summer, as far as accredited goes, I don't know if AZA has accredited this zoo.
Everything! The park is set up on one big looping path and you can get through the whole thing in 1-2 hours depending on how fast you go. The deer enclosure and petting farm are my favorites.
There are benches in the main areas. The paths are regular ground and not concrete. The animals are in their regular habitat for the most part.
$5 for camel rides per person also $5 for feeding giraffe . They also have feed stations for the gators and the ducks .25 cents for those. Can also by seed sticks for the birds. 3 for $5
It says on their website that service dogs are allowed but there are restrictions - I'm guessing that means you wouldn't be allowed to bring the dog into the deer enclosure and the petting area, things like that.
I work there 14.99 for adults and 9.99 for children, ages under 2 free😄
$14.99 for adults and $9.99 for kids.
It's probably best to call and see if they will be open or not. :)
