This is the projects , If you make this your home make sure you don’t own a car . Both of my cars were stolen out of the garage and my other cars were vandalized. I had to fix these cars at my own expense which cost me a lot of money and brookfield properties doesn’t care at all not even an apology for lack of security they claim they have to speak to the garage management but I recently found out they own the garage. Very very poor security make sure when you leave late at night or come home late at night you protect yourself , your family and friends god forbid you encounter a live car theft at your home. Also I have been living here for three years with an increase of 2.5% every year on rent which is fine because it is standard as a Chicago rental building but this year after everything I have been through they increased my rent by almost 75 percent That’s fine Because I wouldn’t live in this project building for free so live here at your own risk.

When helping me with a building tour and apartment leasing, Calvin at the property management office was incredibly helpful, kind, and professional. He gave us a friendly smile and was quite upbeat. He helped me fall even more in love with Sky 55 because he was highly educated about the structure, the apartments, and the familiar with current residents. He made me feel as though he genuinely cared about me finding the perfect home/unit for me. Calvin also was very patient and helpful in answering questions during my decision process. If you're interested in moving to Sky 55, I'd highly advise to ask for him.

Went to an all white function. However, for one rude customer, management shut the whole party down. They didn't give the promoter a chance. Extremely disappointed in the way things were handled.

**Update: Despite submitting all required documents to their portal and sending email confirmation receipts, Sky55 enrolled us in their renters insurance without our authorization. We have our own policy. Don’t move here unless you want to experience this fiasco 3 months later.* The building and apartment itself is nice. However, to what many folks are saying, the property management and lack of customer service is the issue here. - the leasing agent (initials M.F) purposefully ignores our emails. We still do not have access to all of the amenities we pay for. We’ve followed up countless times (in person and over email) without any resolution. - To access/leave the parking deck, we were supposed to receive a QR code you can add to your phone wallet but instead was emailed a picture. I told M.F. about this but she continued to gaslight us as if we have never used apple wallet before. - The application process was horrible. You are asked to upload multiple documents to a portal (normal) but must email the leasing agent a signed pdf copy of each respective document already uploaded AND additional ones that contradict the website’s guidance (not normal). What is the purpose of a portal if it’s staff, like MF, can’t even adopt it? - We worked with a broker to find this apartment. The leasing agent refuses to send them a copy of our lease so the broker can receive their commission - we’ve followed up at least 3 times 🥴
