My doctor didn't rush me, asked questions, listened to my concerns, offered options, performed the exam and biopsy deftly, and both he and his scribe were professional and personable, honest and reassuring, told me they don't know if they didn't know (refreshing), but acted to follow-through (appreciated!). Mostly helpful front-office staff (one woman seemed to be having a day, but don't we all), modern online pre-appointment, follow-up, and patient portal system is available, but in-office clipboard-and-pen paperwork is an option as well. My biopsy results came in quickly. ”Be kind" signs at the driveway and building entrances set a positive tone. It's an unassuming structure with adequate parking and a ramp entrance set amongst the trees; you won't get lost or have to walk far. Masks required. Spacious and lovely, clean and calming interior decor with a separate child's area. Two areas of improvement: First would be to shorten the time it takes to get an initial appointment, but since Dermatology Associates has already opened up other offices recently, I know they're doing everything possible. Instead, my suggestion for improvement is directed toward potential patients: to make a pre-screening appointment, to establish your skin condition baseline, and yourselves as existing clients, before a problem exists; thereafter, earlier appointments are usually available. Second, when I arrived there was a small queue of patients waiting to be seen by staff at the front desk, so that I and a woman with a child stood inside the atrium for a minute until there was room for us to step inside. First-world problem for sure, but it increases risks that don't need to exist, such as a child possibly getting their finger pinched in the door hinge as clients move past within the atrium, or claustrophobes feeling trapped in such a confined space, or simply, 'hey, I wanna be kind, but this is really awkward, I have an embarrassing skin condition, I'm not in a conversational mood, and yet I kinda have to be sociable to the lady standing a foot away from me, who also doesn't necessarily want to be that close to someone who may possibly have a communicable disease, during a pandemic, when a third of the population is unvaccinated and wears their mask like a droopy diaper.' IOW, the atrium design doesn't jibe with the rest of the well-thought-out interior space, and needs some attention to flow. Dermatology Associates is pretty much the only game in town, so they don't have to put in as much effort as they do - but they do it anyway. I might have given them 4 stars for the few areas of improvement, but they really deserve 6 stars in other areas, so it kind of balanced out to a 5 star review with no regrets. You're in good hands there.

Amazing experience! Not only was I highly satisfied with the knowledge of my dermatologist regarding medications, but I was impressed at how the practice takes preventative skincare seriously. (They asked me about any moles I had and examined them.) All the questions I had concerning the newly prescribed medications were answered!

Best Dermatology practice I've ever been to by far. I drive an hour to get there but it is definitely worth it.

I want to thank everyone at dermatology associates of Ithaca for the excellent care I received for my melanoma treatment. I especially thank Tom Brown and nursing staff for making my surgery care free as possible. Highly recommend.
