A great place to ride atv's side by sides and to go hiking and hunting πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Pretty good trailhead. It is more remote than some of the other trailheads in the area. It’s also less busy most of the time. Painted Rocks and Rule Ridge are more accessible to the highway. I’m only docking a star because there are no restrooms or forest information at the trailhead. Still a good spot to unload and closer to the gulches.

Good camping spot. Watch out for atv'ers. I like to take my telescope her for night trips. Also free RV over night (up to a week) in this area. Some roads are very bumpy. Fire reclamation still on going though.

Questions & Answers

We are interested in riding atvs here. Is there a campground near? If so does it have showers and restrooms?

Its national forest so free camping in designated areas. Also no power no rest rooms or showers. Check with teller county sheriff for current burn ban restrictions. Respect the area and clean up after your self. And stay on designated trails with your atv.
