Amazing little Kansas trail. Lots of fresh water springs so if you're thinking of hiking it water is not an issue. Also lots of places to camp along the trail. One of the best spots is right beside mile marker 5. There's also a good sized spring about an 8th of a mile from that camp. There is plenty of poison ivy so just watch that as you're hiking.

This is a beautiful hiking trail. I suggest hiking this trail in late spring.

Depends on the dog. My German Shepard is still energetic after a 10 mile hike though mountains. My shi-tzu can barely walk a mile on level sidewalk.
