We did this hike on the winter, full of snow, so hiked following the trail with an app, was a hard snowshoe hike because some places there were over 4 feet of snow and was not packed at all.....but other than that was amazing!!

A great out and back ride through aspens and wildflowers. Approximately 800' of climbing on the out and back over 8 miles.

Nice easy hike with slight elevation. I took the Teddy Trail at the beginning next to the trailhead. It was a beautiful way to start the hike and added some distance. It eventually caught the main Snodgrass trail. Pretty hike especially in the early morning with less traffic. Definitely recommend for beginners.

Research elsewhere states that it generally closes in July and August for "cattle grazing". However it's October currently and still posted as "closed".
