Went to the Peru office. It was not at all crowded. Two people there. The man at the desk was quite impolite and abrupt. He wouldn’t answer any questions I had except “I’ll give this to the person who will handle it. He couldn’t wait to get me out if there. Even though I was as polite as possible. He wouldn’t look at me letter, the proof they asked me for previously, nothing. All he said was “You’ll hear from us”. We’re talking about a LOT of money here and he didn’t seem to care at all, like I was a bother to him. This is unacceptable. It left me with a very bad feeling regarding if they’re going to handle my case in the manner it needs to be handled. This man shouldn’t be dealing with the public.

Security Guard was as rude and Condescending as possible. Barking out orders at myself and my wife like we were little kids. No one else was in the facility at this time.I’ve heard other complaints about this individual.Something should be done about this disrespectful individual. This was at the Peru Illinois facility on Wenzel Road on April 14th.

A trip to your nearest social security office
You can apply online if you had a card before. Like if you lost it . If its the first time getting one you have to go to the nearest location to you . Make sure you take all the documents to provide identification to them .

No it would probably need to be the court house. Legal name change would not be the ssi office. But you would have to go there to update her name change.
