Dealt with some condescending lady (wish I remembered her name) who just yelled over me trying to talk about my brothers benefits. If there’s a manager/director, listen to the call recording on 7/21/2022 around 1:30 pm EST. Not sure how someone could act like that if they received proper training.

Went here for a post-marital name change. In and out in less than an hour with no appointment. Guy at the counter was friendly and super helpful.

I had an absolute amazing experience. Service was fast, my documents were copied, so I took originals with me, and I received my new card within a week. Thank you for making this process painless.

how far in advance are you scheduling appointments?
Your website says you are open and you are not; when do you expect to be open?
I am in need of my social security car, and when doing the online process, I must send in my drivers license. I am unable to do this because I drive for a living. Are the Social Security offices open for appointments? Ive been told No.
can I walk in and apply for social security because I am at retirement age.
How can I get a copy of my SS card in the office, that day, and how?
Yes
I’m
Absolutely.
Yes into has a fax # but as for the difference of say the Westchester office which is local, where as Harrisburg 8s the Capitals office which I do believe can do even a few more things in the office. Please Westchester office is wonderful and will answer any and all of your questions and give you benefits letters but dont expect them to do everything there. Be advised, bring all pertinent papers and ID picture n the website has a list of all.
Hi George I was just there yesterday...my child needed a new card and we were told not to make an appointment for that. But I'm not sure if that the case for all visits. We did all of the paperwork ahead of time.
We have to take an in-person appointment through call.
No but they do get crowed at the most random times. So put the patience pants on tight n enjoy you're vist to the local social security office
You can do it online and save yourself the hassle. https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/

You do not have to schedule. You can walk in. Otherwise you can call their number to schedule. I walked in yesterday and was seen within 30 minutes.
Yes. Remember to also submit any necessary documentation as well as remember to sign the form.
They all opened back up fully during the 1st or 2nd week of April so you can just go to your nearest s.s office. I think you'll find it faster and easier going to the office and applying. I walked in on a Thursday filled out paperwork and my replacement card was delivered the following Tuesday
No, it's free.
I went last week and the doors were locked. They have a drop box, where you put your information in an envelope or some things can be done online if you make an account with them. I suggest you call them to find out what you should do for your specific need.
I'm not sure but i recommend you calling the office and have someone helping you over the phone if ur lucky. Otherwise, u can check their website. You must call the office designated to ur area(out of ur area offices are NOT taking public inside without appointments or if Your NOT part of that area), since some offices r taking some public appointments according to their emergency or priorities.
No they are not. If you have any paperwork that needs to be dropped off they have a drop box that you can put it in. I think the days are Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday.
It depends on document better to call office and confirm.
It was closed last Monday. I suggest calling first to be sure.
You need to go there and take your birth certificate and something that verifies your current address, utility bill etc. No copy of birth certificate must be an original.
No appointments needed.
9am on weekdays. Not sure if they will open on thanksgiving week.
Create an account online on their site. Then she can navigate through what she needs to do.
No they are closed tomorrow. Saw the note on the door during my last two visits a week ago.
