WARNING!!! PLEASE BE AWARE!!!! We went here to fix a couple of chips in our windshield and prior to the service we were advised that because the chips are old they might not be able to fix the chips and it might cause further damage. Lo and below when we went to pick up our car the chips have gotten worst and we were told the we would now need to replace the whole windshield for $800!! What strikes me as odd is that while they did verbally warn me of the risk, I was never asked to sign a waiver acknowledging this. Which I think is very sketchy bc if this is a major risk and they are warning all the customers about it why not be safe and have the customer also sign a waiver to prevent any legal repercussions and protect themselves? It also feels like moral hazard at play here considering they directly stand to benefit from a subsequent full window replacement. Not sure if Safelite is all corporately owned or if it is franchise but it is a very big nationally known company, you can’t tell me they can’t afford to hire a lawyer to draw up a waiver to reflect the risks being verbally communicated to the customers. This is probably why they are not asking customers to sign a waiver bc their practice is sketchy at best and therefore probably not legal enough to get a waiver. It just feels like they are not confident in their service and they don’t want to accept any responsibility if something goes wrong. But I would rather go to a place that is more experienced and transparent to tell you if they are able to fix your windshield or not. Not a place like this where it’s more “we will try and this whole service is pretty risky and we will not be liable for any damage we may cause”. Lesson learned and we will not be returning to this company. We just want to warn others out there.

Holy cow, went in to get a windshield crack fixed and drove away with it fixed and clean windows! Your tv commercial understates your customer service. Thank you. 💞

The insurance should have handled it all from appointment setup to payment

After the rain this last week I have developed a leak in my car from underneath the dash. We think the seal is bad at the bottom of the windshield on the drivers' side. Do you replace just the seal? Or do I have to get a whole new windshield?
