I am a decendent from the Family of the old Hutchinson Homestead so I my be a little biased. My Father was born and raised in that great little house. I run the Sandy Creek Family Campground that borders the South side of the park. My Father bought this land because of the close proximity and walking distance back and forth to his parents home. The Homestead gives you a real current time feel of what it was like to grow up there in the early 1900s, and it is good to be able to say "I was one of their Grandsons". Barry Hutchinson

What an iconic place of stone mountain. Lovely and peaceful environment and antique buildings.

Nice state park with relatively easy hiking trails. There is a handicap only parking area about 50 yards from a good viewing location of the stone face. The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular since you are on the rock face with no trees to obstruct the view.

Great views and wonderful place. Wish they opened the building up more often.
