I've never left a 1-star review for any business or institution before. But the lack of patient care and medical diligence here is troubling. Without going into too much detail, Dr. ----- failed to prescribe a low-risk, non-addicting medication that was genuinely helping me because she looks down upon functional medicine testing and has poor clinical judgment. **UPDATE** - 1 hour after posting this, the doctor changed her mind (or was overruled by a superior), and she sent the necessary prescription over to my pharmacy. In light of this, and because I have heard that other people have had decent experiences at this organization, I am editing my review -- I added a second star, and I redacted the doctor's name because I don't want to punish her forever on the Internet due to a mistake that was eventually corrected. With that said, I will not go back to that doctor, and I am unlikely to return to the clinic.

This clinic has gotten to be so bad. I do not think I will ever go back even if it's free. I waited for 0ver 30 minutes for my appointment which isn't a problem. In the past I have waited a hour and a half past my appointment before. That didn't bother me either because when my doctor saw me he was actually very attentive to me and I felt like he listened. That doctor is gone. Today I went in for a pap and a blood panel to check my hormone levels and said I had some more questions for the doc. When I finally see doctor she told me my pap wasn't due for a year and so that wasn't happening. She did no check up of me at all. Didn't even want to see or look at my abdomen which I am complaining of major inflammation. Wouldn't order a blood test for me for anything. I need a Lyme disease test, a mold test, a D-dimer, and a hormone level test and she wouldn't do any. She could barely answer one single simple question for me and told me that she was only allowed to speak about one or 2 things tops with me because each patient is only allotted 15 minutes with the provider. I waited over 30 minutes and wasn't even in the room with her for 10. I am waiting to see how much they are billing medicaid for the 15 minutes. She and her nurse have plenty of time to push and talk about vaccines to me but when I had no interest in that then there was nothing they could help me with. These doctors look at a ipad for all of their answers. This should concern everyone. She refused me service of all of my concerns. Preformed no exam, Not even checking for tenderness in my abdomen, and allowed me no blood work. They only had more time for me if I would get a injection, otherwise there was nothing they could do for me. She was extremely unhelpful and I wonder how many people a day go there for help and they treat them like they did me?

I’ve been going to the People’s Clinic since the 80’s! First I want to say that I have the best primary care Dr in the world! I love Dr Christa Ambrose to the moon and back!! However, the call center is fairly useless. So I drive over to make appointments. If only they would use the automated system that calls you back when it’s your turn, it would make things much better, rather than being told that “your position is que is 29” 🤬 I wouldn’t change doctors office for anything, but I do hope they fix this. It’s been like this for as long as I can remember!
