Alex Craig is a total pro. There were some complexities to my situation, since I was selling a house remotely on behalf of my family, and Alex navigated it all seamlessly. He is a great communicator with strong business sense and marketing skills, and gave us excellent counsel at several turning points. He went the extra mile several times over and stuck with us every step of the way!

My real estate photography company, Storied Images, has worked with Alex's real estate business for nearly a year now on a few of his listings. Alex has always been very professional and responsive in our communications. The fact that he invests in marketing tools like photography also tells me that you are in good hands with Alex whenever you need to buy or sell a home!

Alex Craig has been very helpful with my 1st time home buying experience. He was always quick in getting back to me with any questions I had and very knowledgable about conditions of houses and whether they would pass needed inspections. This was helpful to me since I had no clue what I was doing, walked me througheach step.

Alex was incredibly helpful and attentive along the process of selling a property we owned in Lansing. We were in a tough spot trying to sell the property as out of state investors, and Alex took care of everything promptly and efficiently. For me, business often comes down to keeping clients informed and on the same page and Alex definitely delivered in this department. I highly recommend working with him if you're buying or selling a home in the area.

Questions & Answers

Common Question: How can I get my Michigan Real Estate License?

Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2021
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2021

Great question. If you're interested in getting your Michigan Real Estate License, it can be done in four easy steps. First, you have to take an approved pre-licensure course and pass a final exam. Second, you have to apply with the state. Third, you have to take the actual 115-question state examination. Fourth, find a broker and get your license. Common Question: Do you offer real estate classes?

Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2021

We don't directly teach real estate classes. We have however partnered with Real Estate Express to offer our agents and our community an opportunity to get their real estate license. You can learn more about course options and real estate classes by visiting Real Estate Express through this link: https://www.realestateexpress.com/?utm_source=affiliate&sub_id=2497021

When do you show homes and what days?

Alex Craig | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

Each agent in our office works flexible hours. They have some days and times within our business hours that they are readily available. Outside of our office hours, it is agent specific. Some will work all weekend, while others wish to observe religious times. It’s important to work with an agent that meets your schedule.

Who should I contact about a home or mine?

Alex Craig | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

You should speak with one of our agents. You can do that by calling the main line or sending us an email. Get in touch with us and we will connect you to one of our agents.

Do I have to sign a contract with you? How long?

Alex Craig | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

Yes. We always tell our clients that contracts are for your protection more than ours. With a contract, we are legally and ethically bound to provide a service centered around honesty and integrity. Since they are for your protection more than ours, we do allow for easy termination of the contract so you’re never really locked in.

Can you conduct a home value analysis virtually?

Alex Craig | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

Yes, we can conduct a home value analysis virtually. However, the accuracy of our analysis will be slightly lower. This is due to the fact that we will have to rely on public information and the information you share with us. Sometimes this can cause us to undervalue your home, especially if you put in an extra bathroom but the public record still shows one less. For the most accurate value of your home, we often need to see the home.

Do you have other locations or offices?

St. Pete's Maids | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

Yes. We have several offices throughout Lansing. At this time, we have an office in East Lansing, St. John’s, and Delta Township. We are a growing company, so it’s possible that we may be adding more locations.

How much does it cost to sell my home?

St. Pete's Maids | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

Each case is different and can vary. Here are some hard and fast rules though: For homes under $100,000, you can expect a real estate agent service fee of 7%. Out of that amount, 3.5% will go to the buyer’s agent and the other 3.5% will go to us for selling your home. For homes above 100,000, that commission rate is typically 6%. Regardless of home value, a $350 transaction fee is assessed. These costs are only for the real estate agent to sell your home and does NOT include any expenses associated with taxes, transferring title, any closing costs you may incur as part of the accepted offer, or anything else.

What’s the difference between an appraisal and a home value analysis?

St. Pete's Maids | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

At Century 21 Looking Glass: Dolinski Group, we offer a home value analysis. This varies from an appraisal based on the fact that in the state of Michigan, an appraisal must be conducted by a licensed appraiser. As real estate agents, we are not licensed appraisers. However, we take many of the same approaches that an appraiser makes, such as, finding comparables and making adjustments for differences in the subject property and the comparable property. In other words, we go through many of the same processes that an appraiser would.

What products/services do you provide?

St. Pete's Maids | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

We are a team of real estate agents who provide a full-service. This means, we can help you buy a home and we can help you sell a home. We will guide you through the real estate process and connect you with resources as needed. We also offer some services “a la carte”. For example, we are able to help you determine the value of your home, even if you don’t plan to sell.

What are your business hours?

St. Pete's Maids | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

We are open Monday through Thursday, from 8am to 4pm. We try to take Fridays off and are available to show homes on Saturdays. Of course, each agent in our office sets their own hours. If you need to see a home or require a real estate consultation outside of our business hours, contact an agent at our office to set up an appointment.

What neighborhoods do you service?

Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020
Dolinski Group | Oct 17, 2020

Our focus, and the neighborhoods we best serve, are those within a 10 mile radius of Grand Ledge and Delta Township, or the western part of Lansing. However, we have been known to extend our services to include neighborhoods within a 30 mile radius of Lansing. If you’re looking for a home outside of these areas, we may be able to help you by connecting you to one of our thousand real estate partners across the world — from California to Moldova.
