Commissions are always negotiable, however, some places typically do not accept anything less than a certain percentage. Your best bet is to just contact them and ask. Just remember, real estate agents are not reimbursed for mileage, gas, advertisements, their time or anything else. They work for 100% commission so while a certain percentage may seem like a lot...it has to cover all of these things. You want to get paid for the work you do...and agents would appreciate the same. Also, it is pretty much like anything else you buy: you get what you pay for... John Greene Realtor is an excellent agency. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I have met with a few people there, and I highly recommend them.
They can help you get your license with no obligation to join them. It is cheaper than other options and the training is above expectations. Their instructor, Tigi, is amazing!
