I really liked my apartment when I moved over here, I think it’s highly unfair for people that been living here for years to go from paying 750-850 month to 1100 a month now and that’s just for a one bedroom before I moved over here I was told that rent goes up only 15 or 25 dollars a year I was shocked when new management came in and raised the prices up it’s sad that they have no sympathy, I mean they do know that people still have their same jobs that they been working for, for years, jobs are not going to increase our pay just because rent is going up it’s a very sad world that we’re living in I hope everyone is doing well really do , it’s just is what it is though my rent will always be paid and on time regardless

Overall this is a really nice and friendly complex! They are under new management and working out some issues, but everyone in the office has been extremely helpful and welcoming with the moving process. Brandon from the office had great communication and was very helpful for moving into our new apt quickly and with no issues. The updates in the renovated apartments are very nice and I am so excited to be moving in!

Looking to move to Cass Lake Shores TREAD SLOWLY prior to your decision to live here. Wasted three years here. Prior management would have been a zero. VG only one. Once announced VG bought this complex I THOUGHT things might get better BUT only one thing got better….money in the pocket of VG. Rent has doubled WITHOUT any reno. People are moving out by the boatload. One washer and dryer per 11 units. Residents load the washer and at times do not return for 8 hours. Then they have the audacity to confront you if you remove their items. One of those neighbors has moved. But there are two others in this bldg w/o confrontation. Dryer broke. I was told to call the company to report. Two weeks later, no dryer still. I am handicapped. Plus I just had surgery mid July. Last owner would not give me parking carport near my bldg. It was across two roads and a good 1500 foot walk. They refused to move my carport but gave me a handicap spot at the back door. The problem, well there are a few renters in my building under the age of 40 believing the world revolves around them. VG does NOTHING. There is always another car in my carport but even after speaking to this person personally, she stills parks there. I guess if you drive SILVER LINCOLN, the world revolves around only you. Six months now, VG DOES NOTHING. There is no smoking in the hallways. I leave the other day with an emergency with my cat (diabetic) and one tenant is standing in the doorway SMOKING. All the smoke is traveling to the lower level (below ground) where it remains. VG DID NOTHING, except blame me for slamming a door I simply walked out without holding the door (in a hurry to get my cat to the vet). I guess they don’t trust their own maintenance department to fix the tension on the closure. First floor units need a dehumidifier. The carpet is ALWAYS DAMP. Damp=SMELLS. The hall carpeting smells so bad, I race to get inside my unit. I have complained to Amy VG several times, they washed my apt entry door to solve. Last but not least. This complex has been a party spot years. It’s not changing with VG protecting the ones that will NEVER follow rules. With rents btw $1500-2500 for the update if you, yourself have any value or morals, investigate before you sign, you don’t want to live here. You really don’t want the old 70’s units. NASTY greasy kitchen cabinets, Door skins and Formica counter tops are separating and unsightly. Square footage reported is incorrect. I gave the benefit of doubt and measured LxW of the entire unit, not deducting for walls, it’s a 100 ft shy from the 964 they report for the two bedroom. New reno is beautiful and you will fall in love. Here are the things that they can’t fix. Walls are so thin you hear everything. Showering on the third floor, I hear that on the first. Toilet flushes are the same. Main doors are typically propped open for all to enter. This is so when the bar across the street closes, CLSC is LIVE! CURRENT Laundry room with storage cages are filthy and smells. CURRENT WHILE HARTMAN TYNER OWNED WHEN I MOVED IN, WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH I WAS ATTACKED BY THE GUY LIVING ABOVE ME. COMING IN AT 10:30PM, no lights (hartman tyner) would have to be told to change timers) below ground, I’m unlocking my door and guy comes up behind me pushing at my back with his body saying “Let’s party”. I know I wrote this earlier but SOMEHOW it has been deleted? (wow did VG edit my review?). Just want to tell you what you might move into! VG takes care of VG just like Hartman Tyner took care of HT. Who works for who? UPDATE: now we have rats. Dumpster behind bldg 15 has been removed. Maintenance working to find the burrow they are living. I knew this two years ago when a rat was staring at me when I opened my blinds in the morning. Old owners claimed it was a ferret.

Go to the office and explain to them what happened that you are a roommate you paid your rent and utilities on time and they changed the locks on you. See what they can do. Sounds like what they did is illegal
