I wish I could give no star honestly! This place Id very terrible, the workers are lazy! They lounge around even when they’re family members are in the building!! Every day we have to ask for someone to change my granny, you can tell she been sitting for hours, her face is always dirty. I don’t understand why this place Been open this long. It’s really heart breaking to watch a love one bee stuck in a situation like this. These are the people we suppose to trust to look after my granny and it’s horrible!!

0 Star Review: My 54 year old mother died in this facility's care on 8/17/2022 and no one even called to inform me as her next of kin. Kathleen, the receptionist, left a voicemail on my phone saying that my mother was "indeed dead" after I called her crying multiple times. When I arrived at the facility the evening of her death, I was not greeted. No one expressed their condolences. Not only this, but the facility did not inform the Police or Medical Examiners office as per the law in Oakland County. While my mother was a hospice patient and we anticipated her death, my mother's death was expedited by a substandard level of care provided by Regency at Waterford . From the time she checked into Regency at Waterford in mid-July, she quickly deteriorated. She was provided inadequate food to meet normal nutritional needs, the business did not provide her the hospice-prescribed medications on time (affirmed by her hospice nurses), and she was not treated with respect or care by the majority of the staff (with video proof that she recorded herself that I discovered yesterday on her phone), and on the day of her death the facility ran out of her hospice-prescribed pain medications. The last words she spoke to her boyfriend that day were "I am scared. I am in pain." The substandard level of care at this facility is abhorrent. The facility smells of feces and urine. The food is substandard and does NOT meet USDA or Michigan's LARA nutritional or hydration guidelines. My mother was often left to sit/lay in her own urine and she was not treated with dignity, empathy, or care. Their contracts (for financial responsibility of patient accounts) are outdated and illegal in violation of the US Code. I encourage the Regency at Waterford to reach out to me directly. I doubt they will, considering their modus operandi in regards to my mother's care.

I once worked here some years ago. I didn’t have the heart to come back, I’m not strong enough to see people suffer. I can’t put in words all of the instances of neglect, and a lot of these people wont say anything because they don’t want their families to worry. I’d advocate on behalf of the patients, and be met with really bad attitudes and dirty looks, but I was limited on what I could do to help as I wasn’t a CNA or nurse but, did all I could whenever I could, up until the day before my water broke. My heart breaks thinking back on the permanent residents who are probably still there today.

All the staff are good to me, but especially Bobbie, Ramada, Belinda, Amanda, Jackie, Barbara, Renee, Pearlita, Talitha, and all of therapy. There ain’t no one here that I don’t like. They treat you good here
