Absolutely fabulous selection and wonderful customer service! I've bought gifts for family friends who like to cook as well as a wealth of spices for my own use, and nobody has even been disappointed. All of the staff have been very positive and happy to help. Special thanks to Jason and Kayla, both of whom provided excellent suggestions in addition to helping me find what I was looking for!

I have been disappointed with black peppercorns from other sellers as the distinct peppercorn taste disappears shortly after opening the container. I store the peppercorns in an air tight container as well. What can be done to keep the pepper taste?

Ed Gould | Feb 19, 2022
Tara Fason | Feb 19, 2022

Typically keeping peppercorns whole their flavor will last longer. If your pepper has already been ground and you don't know how fresh it is then unfortunately those oils have probably already disappeared and there won't be much flavor. I recommend stopping in for a jar of our fresh pepper as we grind it every week to keep it fresh. Also to learn more about pepper! We have many types of peppercorns!

What are the Covid safety practices like here?

Cernolde | Oct 17, 2021

Only 3 people or groups of 2 are allowed in at a time. As stated before there is barriers between you and the staff, but customers are allowed in only a small section of the store( less than 1/3) so it can get congested is there are more than 3 people. I would advise going in after learning what you want online so they can retrieve it for you.

Blue Poppy Seeds: The common black seeds are actually known as “blue”seeds. They are nutty and have a slight sweetness that you are likely familiar with. ... White Poppy Seeds: The white poppy seed is often used in Indian or Middle Eastern cuisine to add thickness, texture and flavor to sauces.
