I take my daughter to day camp there, and Ive not noticed a parking lot for the park, not to say one doesn't exist, but in general there is pretty good street parking if you can parallel park. You definitely can't camp there, though I don't think that was your intention. It's a nice park with the river, nice fields of flowers, tennis and an outdoor pool.

No tables. Lots of open space, but no tables. Most bring their own if needed.

Coyotes don't really bother humans, they in fact actually are scared of us. There are Coyotes everywhere around the city, particularly in the Statue Park area on Mccormick Blvd, you should be fine to jog at night along this path though, I bike it often and even sometimes at night and I've never seen a coyote, especially after they tore down the entire forested area along the river. You should be safe, make sure to run with someone else.
