Over priced guns can’t use the excuse that you’re paying to get the gun right away because at fleet farm their prices are way less and you can get the gun same day it’s ridiculous

Bought a handgun, filled out the background check and then they tossed it into a pile and I was told it would take 3 to 5 days because "the doj is taking awhile right now". Meanwhile my brother bought a handgun at another shop and brought it home the same day. Just about everything is overpriced, including ammo. Don't believe the 5 star reviews, they bribe people with free range time if they give a five star review.

I was visiting Milwaukee for a few days from the UK and wanted to do a bit of handgun shooting so I searched online and The Shooters Shop looked to be very good and just 15 minutes from my hotel. I arrived mid morning and the guys were really welcoming and we had a good chat. Matt explained the use of their indoor shooting range and the cost to hire a gun, ear defenders and eye protection. They had a great choice of guns for hire including semi autos, revolvers and some assault rifles and carbines. I chose a Glock 17 9mm and a Smith & Wesson .38 snub nose revolver. Matt recommended the correct ammunition for both and I bought 50 rounds of each. As a non-resident I just had to show my driver’s license and complete a form. Everything was done very efficiently and the staff clearly take safety very seriously. As I’ve used handguns many times before, I was able to take my targets and equipment down to the range and begin shooting. The range was easy to use and targets are sent out and recovered with a switch. It was great fun and felt very safe and well organised. There was only one other shooter on the range at the time so we had plenty of room. Sadly, it was all over too quickly and I was soon back upstairs to return everything to Matt. As it’s legal to carry a concealed handgun in Wisconsin following a clear background and ID check, there were several customers in the shop having their applications made. As all handguns over .22 calibre are banned in the UK, I only get the opportunity to shoot like this when visiting the USA and it’s great that there’s shops like this that are only too happy to show you their selection of equipment and answer any questions you have. Thanks to Matt and the team - you really made my day! Ammunition isn’t cheap these days but for someone from the UK that can’t do this anywhere else, I reckon it was $150 well spent!
