Quiet. Great 1 night location far enough off I 80 and didn't need to cook dinner as they make Hunt Bros pizza. Open or shady sites and very nice grassy shaded tent sites. Friendly staff.

We loved our 4 nights stay here! The campground is well taken care of and the facilities are in excellent condition. I highly recommend it for families: there is a nice playground, outdoor pool, and bikes for rent. We enjoyed the paved patio, propane grill and fire pit. The office / store bakes amazing pizza and they have a good selection of drinks and other useful things. Update: We stayed at the Grand Island KOA in one of their small cabins. The two bunk beds and the twin beds are comfortable however it is rather tight in the cabin after unpacking things for four people. There is a mini fridge, which was a nice surprise. I had to bring bedding and everything else. There is a small charcoal grill in front of the cabin. The pool was very clean however the water was very cold - they do not heat the pool.

I am giving this campground three stars because of these positives: Convenient location right off of I-80, large mature trees in most of the park, attentive staff. However, it is getting *only* three stars because of these negatives: Tiny sites (as in our awnings brush our neighbor’s slides when extended), a decrepit fleet of rental bikes (one of the reasons we chose to stay here for a week+), the Chuckwagon restaurant/snack bar that hasn’t been open FOR YEARS yet is still listed as an amenity, a pool that was CLOSED all but one night of our stay with our two grandchildren (another reason we chose to stay here for a week+). Unfortunately, the park changed hands the day we checked in for our nine-night stay, and the transition has NOT been smooth. Why this would be scheduled on a Friday in the middle of June is unfathomable. I realize this is only a KOA Journey, and it is designed for quick overnights on your way to your destination, but this is the only Journey we have stayed in on our travels that has been quite so uncomfortable. If you do choose to stay here for an extended period, do yourself a favor and splurge for a premium site. Your neighbor’s awnings will still brush your slides on the back side, but at least you’ll have some room to enjoy.

We had a beautiful corner spot under the trees and large grass area. I just wish the office had warned us that they had a tick infestation. We are still battling the ticks even now that we are home. Its awful.

Yes
They don't charge for electricity unless you are monthly, rates depend on your site but full hook up pull thru runs around $48.00
Yes it was very relaxing. It was a great part of this camping site
It's very small...but ya I would call them first
You should call before you go
Unless a storm has done damage I dont know why they would not be answering. Call the main koa number maybe they can help.
I can't remember rate. Maybe 25$. We were there in February. Great spot, clean facilities, elec and bonfire pits. No dogs on beach but dogs can be in park on leash. In town there are several public access points where you can bring your dog to the beech.
I'm not sure. I know they are very expensive for their daily rates. I would just give them a call.
