I am not even sure where to start. From the initial phone call before he was admitted all the way to the discharge, the staff was excellent! The office staff, doctor, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, the employees that cleaned his room and delivered his meals were so very kind and helpful. I highly recommend Houston Health and Rehabilitation Center. My dad spent almost a month here due to a nasty fall. I never worried about him. They took very good care of him. My dad has spent a bunch of time in rehabs over the last 20 years due to falls. I would select this one again in a hot minute, if he ever needs another rehab. I chose this facility from their ratings and a recommendation from a friend. I am so happy that I chose Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center and very thankful for their help and kindness. The staff was great, especially the Therapy group. They would push you and you even know it. I had coved and when I arrived I could not move at all. Within 2 weeks they had me walking. I can not say enough about the whole staff here. They are very nice and they know what they are doing. Thanks again!

My wife and I toured the facility today, and after looking at several other facilities, Holston Rehab was by far our first choice. Tomorrow, we will start the process to move our Mom from Ft Sanders Regional Stroke Floor to Holstein for Rehabilitation Thanks to Jennifer, who was covering for someone on vacation in admissions, and to Donald the Facility Administrator for helping make our Moms move possible.

I have visited around lunch the past two Sundays. Weekends tend to be when staff are fewer but, they manage very well! Mamaw was in a wheelchair in the hall enjoying her lunch and making a big mess because she can’t see. That’s okay. Staff made sure to let me know that after lunch they would change her top. I was glad to pitch in on that. Her bed was newly made up with clean sheets accomplished while she was enjoying lunch. We were able to enjoy some music in the Dino g ball before church started and many residents gravitated to our piano playing and singing. Overall, the staff were working hard to get trays served, picked up and meds delivered. But, it was also obvious that they enjoyed seeing residents out and about. Masks were on staff for the most part. Mamaw was happ, clean and safe which is the most important thing.
