Left my prescription contacts and glasses while traveling, I did not have much money but needed some corrective lens ASAP! Wasatch Vision worked with me to find a solution. The front desk workers were very direct in helping to find the most affordable option for me. They were also very compassionate to my needs and worries regarding my eye care (I had been wearing the only pair of dailies contacts I’d had for longer than a day….); though I do recommend calling ahead to check availability for whatever you are looking for.

Great experience all the way around! Dr. Bateman was so great when I brought my boys in for their exams. Very patient and thorough. He answered all my questions really took his time. This was my first time going somewhere other than America’s best and the difference was unbelievable. I’ll never go to a chain again. The personalized service of a private practice is unbeatable, in my opinion. Nicole was very helpful when picking out glasses. My son has a high prescription and she was very knowledgeable about different lenses that would work best for him.

The doctor was great with my son, but I don’t know that we’ll return. We definitely won’t be purchasing frames there, as I don’t want the hassle of having to deal with their front desk. The staff was not professional, helpful or very friendly. We waited a week longer than they quoted to get my sons glasses. Had we had our backup pair that we came in with it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but one of the front desk ladies took apart his backup pair in an attempt to tighten them when we were in there and she couldn’t get them back together after, (we waited about 30 minutes for her to try!) so we left with no glasses for my son. Overall, it just wasn’t a great experience.

Sorry to have to echo the last few poor reviews, but this place earned it. Told me that my lenses would be made in house, and that they would be done in a week at best - on August 8th. On August 25th - approaching THREE weeks after my appointment, they had still not produced the glasses or contacted me to explain the delay. After waiting on hold for an inordinate amount of time, I was told that they had intended to make them in the office, but that they were so busy and behind that they had just now sent them off to the lab to be made instead. When I asked when I might receive them, they quoted ANOTHER 2 to 3 weeks - they were essentially quoting over 5 weeks for an unremarkable pair of reading glasses. I don't know about you, but I think that if a company is exceeding 500% of it's quoted timeframe, they should at least call, explain themselves, and offer options or discounts to compensate. At the very least, communication should be clear and plentiful. It's a shame, because this office was great before the change of ownership or whatever prompted the change in staffing. The doctor and exam were great, but the new office staff has all the professionalism of a McDonald's drive-thru. I certainly will never go back.

Questions & Answers

This is for Dr. Bateman: we are searching for a cataract surgeon who will accept Medicaid for Lori (Powers) cataract and it is a hard go. Perhaps you could suggest someone who is a good surgeon and then we could ask if he/she accepts Medicaid?

We don't have any surgeons in house. We do have wonderful cataract surgeons we refer to. We would be happy to examine you, help get you ready for surgery, and facilitate the referral to a good surgeon.
