I would recommend to anyone to go to a professional. The U is a school and you will simply get subpar service. I was pregnant at the time of my appointment and the way one of the female technicians treated me was abhorrent. I wish I had gotten her name but all I can say is this, save your money and go to a professional.

Always had a good experience there until the last time we went. We went in to get my wife eyes checked. We show up a couple minutes late and have to wait for someone to check us in. There was a guy doing 20 questions for contacts. By the time they get to checking us in it is 12 minutes past the time we were scheduled. Mind you we had been waiting for like 8 minutes to get checked in. They then tell us they are not able to see us because we are past the ten minute grace period they give you... Yeah that is ridiculous and we will never be going back. It was hard enough to get a appointment there are like 3 months behind. The attitude of the receptionist when they told us they couldn't see us was the icing on the cake. Avoid this place...

Rude postop nurses. Didn’t want to call my wife to tell her I was ok after surgery. My wife couldn’t stay with our kids for the six hours required. Instead she’d be picking me up. Charge nurse and regular nurse wanted to tell me Their normal procedure, to have my wife available in person immediately upon exit from the O.R. They Don’t like picking up the phone, to give family member updates on surgical patent status, at the Moran Eye Center. They also told me I should consider going elsewhere if I wasn’t willing to follow their “standard procedure” of having a spouse stay All Day to wait. All day, with my four young kids. Not friendly or accommodating. The nurses also didn’t really ask how I was doing after surgery. I was discharged Immediately after I complained about their reluctance to phone my wife. No “how are you doing?” “How are you feeling?” Instant discharge after surgery, especially if one asks to speak to a charge nurse to complain about one’s wife being notified about surgical status.

Kind of disappointed, tbh. I drove up from Logan as it was recommended to me due to my issues with migraines and light sensitivity. I sat there for 2 1/2 hrs, and dr. Katz maybe spent 3 min with me. I’ve experienced better, more helpful care at every other optometrist I’ve been to.

Yes, there are many options to choose from also
@woody- I'll pass your question on to the wonderful medical librarians at Eccles Health Sciences Library. They are highly experienced researchers who help patients as well as doctors sift though the deluge of medical literature on topics just like yours.
Yes it has an eye glass shop.
