We couldn't stay in b&b, it was fully booked. Horseback riding with Kyle was great! The kids loved him and we loved the trail... it was raining just before our ride which made the perfect conditions. We were so happy with the place

Kelly's (the owner) bedside manner needs some massive improvements. We booked a trail ride for 4, three weeks prior but did not recieve any written confirmation on the date and/or time of our booking. As the expected date approached, a call was made to Kelly to confirm our date. She informed me that the Saturday we wanted was full and offered Sunday or a refund. It wasn't the change that was the problem, but that it felt like she overbooked herself and was unwilling to give us the date we originally requested. I understand if she was full, but not if the other people didn't book 3 weeks prior like we did, and she could not confirm that with certainty. She said they only send confirmations upon request. After deciding to cancel, Kelly was called again and her response was that we had to send a cancelation request through the website so they could have it in writing, because she did not handle the barn side of the business, even though I've only ever spoken to her. And also, that a confirmation of the cancelation would not be sent unless requested. She made the experience of booking and unbooking incredibly hard and unnecessarily contentious. Hopefully the refund goes smoothly.

The young woman who was the guide was wonderful. The horses were pleasant and sweet. The owner of the place needs to communicate and listen better. When I originally submitted a ride inquiry online, I selected a one hour ride. I also stated on the phone numerous times a one hour ride. When I checked my bank statement, I noticed I was charged for an hour and a half. I ended up being okay with the hour and a half ride. When my friend and I arrived 15 minutes early for our ride, I noticed a group already heading out, which I thought was odd. One of the young women working said that there was no communication about my friend and me coming, so my friend and I would have to wait another hour and a half. I booked this ride several weeks in advance and also emailed to confirm several days prior. I found it frustrating that the employees were not communicated to. Overall, I enjoyed the ride, but the bad communication on the owner's part will make me not return.

When we arrived we thought the place was lovely. The animals appear well kept and cared for. The root of the issue was in the ride and safety (or lack there of) in the trail ride itself. My husband and I are very experienced riders and simply wanted to explore a new place that would offer a nice trail ride. But between the lack of friendliness and helpfulness from the trail leaders truly set the immediate tone of the experience. There was no safety protocol taken prior to riding other than a “sign” posted and waivers. The trail leaders never checked the riders girths after everyone saddled up. The trail leaders never spoke to riders about safety practices (emergency dismounting) or what to expect on the trail, other than asking “if they had riden before.” On these trails we encountered: numerous branches and trees down that completely blocked our path that my husband had to break himself for the group because the leader would not do it, numerous large banana (very big) spiders not even 2 inches right above our heads, multiple (knee deep for the horses) muddy water pits that splashed over our feet and unstable footing for the horses (even the trail leaders horse tripped in the mud pit), trail leader kept leaving group behind and would not let us trot to catch up, one riders saddle came undone almost having him topple over, one of the horses splashed mud in my eye and the trail leader again did not offer any help and barely wanted to stop. (Side note: Two of the riders began w helmets and then took them off during ride but staff never told them to place them back on at any point.) We originally planned to have lunch and just relax a bit before leaving but had rush to the truck to flush my eye. We then decided to just leave. So, overall it was not safe and these trails were not prepped or tended to before we arrived. For riders who have either no experience or just a little I would not recommend this ride due to safety issues.
