Also, ask them about their equipment set up, how they’ll play the music. It’s also important to know what kind of music they specialize in. If you need something different, just be ready to provide a playlist in that category. Find out how the DJ plans to dress. If jeans and a baseball cap are part of the wardrobe, just make sure that fits the class of your event. Ask the DJ how early they arrive before the event starts. A premium setup should take a minimum of 1.5 hours to set up comfortably, so if they say less than that then be suspicious of the quality and presentability of their setup.
