My main issue is that they have a terrible phone system that can take days to be contacted back about a listing. They are mildly professional but some of the properties look abandoned and do need some TLC. We set an appt to see a listing and nobody showed up. Didn't even call us back to reschedule

I would give zero stars if possible. I just don't get how a rental company would not put their best foot forward for a potential client. My family and I decided to go view property at 200 Erwin this past Friday and it was horrible. The home was in such a state of messiness that once I stepped foot in the door I had to turn back out due to gagging at the horrible stench! Most real estate companies will clean a home before trying to show it to a client. I received an e-mail today(Tuesday 7/12/22) asking if I wanted to continue with the application process. When I responded no and asked about the viewing process my reply from KAC was: We show the home as the last tenant left it - we take care of repairs for current tenants over empty houses so the home would be cleaned once a hold fee is collected. Ok, why should someone have to pay a hold fee before a place is even given a basic clean? Not only is that bad business that was completely unsanitary and hazardous to a person's health! I am desperate to find a home before the end of July but not at the sacrifice of me and my family's health.

I am currently in the same situation... I see that your post was from 4 months ago...have u since found a place to rent? I have bad credit and don't know where to turn...just curious as to whether you were able to find someone willing to work with you?
I have been living in one of their properties for a year and its not worth the money they charge...they take a month after you are accepted to "clean" the property and they do nothing but paint...once me and my fiance finish our schooling I'm never dealing with them again! Really only reason I'm still renting from them is because the house is right around the corner from our school.
I understand your concern but I rent a property from them and so far its ok. I have not seen any mold in my place no bedbugs at all and roaches that most houses its based on the last applicant that was staying there maybe they had them. We dont know as renter we just have to weigh our option's.
KAC Realty would like for you to see the outside of the home first and schedule and appointment to see the inside of the home. If you like the property then they will allow you to place your deposit as a hold fee for the property until it is ready for move in.

Yes that is wayyyy too expensive for only a 3 bedroom...and their homes are very over valued in my personal opinion, go with another company
