Been loving this place a good long time. Best fish and chips in the city.

Their fish just like Hope's Fish & Chips. The battered fish is tasty with tarter sauce and the fries are good too.

Known of this place most of my life (I'm 75), finally got there last month. Very unpretentious, doesn't look like it' has changed it's decorating in 50 years. Very 1950s. Unlike other posters, my partner proclaimed it was one of the worst fish and chips she every had. I thought the fish was only O.K. but very smallish portion. She couldn't finish the coleslaw. My clam chowder was mostly potato chunks with one piece of clam. The bread bun was tasteless I've had much better tasting food at my local bar's Friday Fish Fry with bigger portions and lower cost with much nicer décor. Not worth the drive. Go somewhere else.

Great local Detroit spot for just what the name says, Fish n' Chips. Shrimp and frog legs are tasty as well. The staff is fantastic and full of wonderful people. One note before going, it is cash or check only, no cards.

I must be the only person in Metro Detroit that thinks they're just ok.
Try giving them a call. They have pretty good fish dinners 😊
Yes they do have a kid menu. Burger, chicken strip, grilled cheese type stuff
I'm 71 and it was there. I used to walk up there when I was 9 for a neighbor lady.
Im thinking the answer to your question is no!
No, it is not. The full size order is all that i can eat though, many people get the half order.
They do have their hours on their website... It's right at the top labeled "hours". Currently: Tuesday through Thursday 11am to 8pm, Friday 11am to 9pm, Saturday 2pm to 9pm and Sunday 2pm to 7pm. They also have summer hours so check the website for more info.
They will be closed Sunday, June 26 through July 12.
Same as every where else
Yes. And grilled. The grilled fish with Garlic was absolutely delicious and I just went about 3 weeks ago.
I think there is a front step at this historical location. However, they will allow you access from the rear of the building which is virtually barrier free.
Cash only.
