Practiced Buddhism alone for about 16 years. Found this sangha by accident. The best of all accidents. In a few short week these beautiful welcoming people have taken me in as a friend and fellow Buddhist. In this time of our history Dharma and Sangha is a rare and precious find. A treasure to hold dear. With gratitude

I have been a part of this beautiful ever-changing yet ever-grounding group for many many years. Our speaker, Christopher, is a lighthouse on a stormy day. And his wife, Linea is the most beautiful and rare flower ever found. I am so grateful for you two and all the people who come together to create such a powerful, spiritual anchor in a physical world. I love you all! And I am so grateful we can still stay connected over the web. 🌎 ❤️ 🥰

So I'm guessing this is more of the religious type of Buddhism than the secular type based on the comments about God?

We embrace both - what you believe is your own thing, the thing that brings us together are the teachings of the Buddha and the practice. You can be religious or Atheist.

Not exactly. But we have carried chairs into the space.

Why would I be turned away, being told I would only feel uncomfortable, from a Buddhist temple or fellowship? This happened some years ago. I still wonder why? This was a downtown location at the time and not necessarily your fellowship.
