Positive: The front desk attendant was very nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast Buffett. Negative: Our room was street side 2nd floor and we could hear people outside until all hours. We could also clearly hear the room next door to us.

Great location for the Visions Arena, which is across the street. Elevators are slow. Pool was really big for an indoor pool, but no steps to get in, only a ladder. Rooms were clean.

We stayed at the HI-Binghamton Downtown due to the storm knocking power in our neighborhood. The front desk staff was very kind and accommodating. Not sure how busy things are normally, but the hotel sold out due to the storm and utilities folks booking rooms to stay during the repairs. Our room was quiet and the floor is a quiet floor after 9pm which was great. Lots of nearby places to grab a bite or order delivery. Power did go out for about 1-1.5hrs. They had a generator but it was reserved to power the elevators only. Once power came back, it never went out again for the duration of our stay. Hotel is pet friendly (there's a fee). Only reason for a 4 is because the window could only open about 2-3 inches and the room was HOT. We brought a fan and turned off the heat and that helped.

Very nice accommodations. Front desk staff could be a little more friendly. Always felt as if I was bothering them or interrupting their time on their personal calls. Very nice conference center and rooms. Really like it there though!
