Been coming here for years (ever since I was a child). The place has gone down hill. They really need to get the water fixed or lower their price significantly. Nothing has been fixed or updated in the 30 years I have been going. A lot of camp sites are missing their grates over the fire pit, They look for any excuse to charge extra fees, and they are always driving by on their golf cart spying on your camp (looking for violations to charge for). the only reason I give two stars instead of one is the land itself is nice and there is the river close by.

Lovely campground! I recommend campsites #6, #20, #30 if you’re hauling a trailer. They have good parking ability and nice shade throughout the day. This campground is not good if you plan on fishing however. We only found a small stream.

Pretty nice forest campground and decently developed. Sites were pretty secluded but not the cleanest. Overall not bad.

We have never gotten a permit. And I have never seen any place for a reservation.

Do you have to reserve a spot to camp or can you just show up and find a spot?

Most of the sites are first come first serve, but there are some that can be reserved as well. Typically those that can be reserved get taken early in the year for busy weekends.
