My wife and I had our 2019 taxes done at the Ilion Jackson Hewett. We owed money to the state and federal and gave the man our debit card to pay the taxes and to pay for doing the taxes. We thought everything was taken care. Now, 6 months later we are getting letters from the IRS and NY State that we haven’t paid our taxes. I called the JH office and got told “We’ll, I don’t know what to tell you…I ran the card. There’s nothing I can do about it.” Really? We came to a professional tax preparer to avoid this kind of thing and to make sure our taxes were done right. I could have done them myself and made sure they were paid! I would never recommend this office to anyone, nor will I ever go back there! Worst tax experience I’ve ever had anywhere and now I have to pay interest!
