Mustang Sally
We visited in Oct and it was beyond beautiful. The colors of the leaves on the mts were so vast and vivid that I couldn't stop taking amazing pics. It was like a painting everywhere I turned.

Great family fun. Definitely recommend

Waited for the train to pull out of the station. Blowing the whistle. Tomorrow, we are on the train.

We arrived on a weekday afternoon and were able to purchase tickets within 15 minutes of the start of the ride. For special events, order online before hand. The ride itself was ok, didn't really see anything that we hadn't seen from a car. The conductor was pretty good, learned a few things and laughed at his Dad jokes.

Thanks - we are planning to go on it next year. We are looking forward to anew and fun experience.
As going through the ticket it is and I saw one person that was in a wheelchair he didn't board on mine but they must have gotten him on another. I didn't see him at the station. And there is handicap parking.
You would have to call to see when they are using them I now it is on special occasions like Harry Potter or Halloween or Christmas
Purchase ahead online! Safest bet.
The Heber Valley Railroad has two locomotives unfortunately both are currently in the shop undergoing restoration and repair. If you would like to learn more about both engines please visit hebervalleyrr.org and click on "Our Trains" here you can find several pages about both engines.
Yes!
There is no wheelchair lift into the train. The only way in is by the short but steep steps at the ends of the cars. Also, the bathrooms on the train are very small (like an airplane). Other than that, all the usual ADA rules are followed.
The Provo River and Deer Creek Reservoir.
Not that i have seen.
Absolutely. Passenger rail cars do have heaters in use during the winter months
Provo Canyon Limited, leaving @11am was $30.00 for adults, and $15.00 for children (3-12).
I believe they do, but you have to call.
It looks like the Zipline, lunch, and train ride combo cost $99. Check out their website hebervalleyrr.org for more info.
It is a great activity for a date or the whole family!
I was the Master Machinist for the State of Utah, and Made all the Parts for the#75 1907 Baldwin Steam Locomotive, And reworked and Made all the Parts for the#618 Baldwin Steam Locomotive, and some for the Diesel Electrics they have running now. The#75 that was used in the movie a River Runs Thru it, was never put back together and the#618 was not kept up to meet the FRRA requirements sat outside rotten, but I'd indoors now. Sad but the setup have the Diesel Electric Locomotive running, and have nice events. Mark Lane
It depends on the event and time that you are wanting to participate in. If you go online to their website, you will see a list of events. Click on buy tickets and the event date and time and you will see the prices.
I'm not sure about pets, but service dogs are allowed because NO BUSINESS can deny a service dog. I hope this helped. Have a great day.
They do have trains year round, typically.
The 618 is currently in the shop but is supposed to be working within the next year or so.
No, But there are open cars so theres plenty of air. And the closed cars have plenty of windows open
down 100 south to 600 west, then south on 600 west will take you to Heber Valley railroad
They have some that are 1.5 hours and some 3. The train goes 1 way and back. On Monday nights they have family night which is fun for the family
Tracy Wright, I just looked it up, they do do gift cards. Dont listen to numb nuts.
The train cars are actual turn of the last century past century passenger cars, which are not equipped yo be disable-person friendly. I image if you talk to the train operators a day before you intend to ride, they can make some accommodation. They have a converted rail car which has a snack bar and which has a lot of space for wheelchairs.
I don't think they do Thomas anymore if I remember correctly they switched it out for dinosour days
Always best to make reservations and to tell them you have coupons.
You can check the website. There are several different trains that run.
