They wouldn’t take all the new fashion nova pants or adidas sweatshirt my sister brought in because “ the labels were old an it’s not in style” an none of them were ever worn. But they will take worn out clothing an pants that have period stains. I literally found 5 pairs of pants that had old period stains on them. Shirts that were all stained and sweatshirts that had labels that were about to fall off.

Horrible upper management practices. Very unprofessional. Poor handling of staff and responsibilities. The store is chronically understaffed and the employees that are there are badly treated. Will never do business there again.

I used to be a big fan of Plato’s Closet - I’ve sold here a few times and purchased quite a few over the year! I stopped in today with ~80 items, a good portion of them with tags attached (from a variety of brands like Zara, TopShop, Abercrombie & Fitch, and items purchased from high-end retailers like Saks and Yoox). I checked in and was told that there were 2 people in front of me and the wait would be an hour and a half, and yet received a text just 10 minutes after I dropped off. I highly doubt that they reviewed the entirety of my bag, as I placed my NWT items at the bottom of the bag and they looked untouched. Yes, they’re not obligated to purchase especially if their inventory is high, but they should make that clear instead of continuing to let customers come in with the expectation that their items will be thoroughly reviewed. Unfortunately, the experience is no longer the same and I will no longer be returning.

Everything is overpriced, staff spends time chatting instead of checking out customers. The employees also only buy based on their own styles. The store is filled to the brim with clothes but no ones buying lol maybe they should teach their employees that not everyone is a size 0

Yes, I believe they do however each store is independently owned so you need to use the gift card at the store where it was purchased.
No, Plato's Closet only buys clothing and clothing accessories!
