I was on the platform before the front runner arrived. I overshot where the train was going to stop on the platform so I headed toward the train doors. When I got there the doors barely started closing and instead of me trying to slip in and potentially getting squished, I tried using the “knock” button by the doors. The doors continued to close and locked me out despite the people on the other side also trying to open the doors with their button. Isn’t there a train attendant who’s supposed to make sure the doors don’t squish on anyone trying to get on? I know the attendant saw me heading towards the doors because he looked at me heading towards the train. Shouldn’t there be a way to keep the doors open long enough for everyone there to get on? Or prevent the doors from closing on someone who was on the platform waiting for the train before it even arrived? What if there was a huge crowd and it took a while for everyone to pile on? What if there was someone with a disability and needed more time to get on? I’m just very disappointed.
